Facundo Fierro in 'El lugar escondido' (2011), alongside Chirino, Dámaso, and Massieu

In April 2011, the Círculo de Bellas Artes of Tenerife inaugurated "El lugar escondido" (The Hidden Place), a collective exhibition dedicated to the relationship between artistic creation and archaeology, as documented at the time by Europa Press. Facundo Fierro was among the twenty or so participating artists, alongside names such as Martín Chirino, Pepe Dámaso, and Lola Massieu.

Participating in a collective exhibition of this profile—curated around a specific conceptual axis and featuring leading artists of contemporary Canarian art—confirms Fierro's position within the institutional exhibition circuit of the Canary Islands beyond his solo exhibitions, and adds a facet of dialogue between painting and archaeology to his production from those years.
