Escultura Flora de Facundo Fierro en la autovía de acceso turístico de Gran Canaria

"Flora" sculpture by Facundo Fierro, in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

On the tourist access highway to the south of Gran Canaria, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, stands "Flora," a Corten steel sculpture by Facundo Fierro that greets those arriving at one of the most visited tourist areas in the Canary Islands.

Like "Dunas," at the nearby access to Maspalomas beach, or "Alianza," in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, "Flora" belongs to the group of monumental sculptures that Fierro places in high-visibility locations—roundabouts, highways, access roads—using Corten steel as a recurring material for his open-space sculpture.

To date, no external documentation has been located that specifies the exact year of the piece's installation; if that information becomes available, it will be incorporated into a future update of this record.
