Logotipo del 120 aniversario de Diario de Avisos, diseñado por Facundo Fierro

The 120th-anniversary logo for Diario de Avisos, created by Facundo Fierro

In 2010, the newspaper Diario de Avisos celebrated its 120th anniversary with a commemorative logo designed by Facundo Fierro, as recorded by the Anuario de Canarias in its chronology of that year. The piece confirms, externally and independently of the artist's own portfolio, one of the graphic identity works included in his design catalog.

This commission is part of a facet of Fierro less known than his painting or sculpture work, but equally documented: the design of commemorative and institutional brands, which also includes the tourism logo for La Palma, that of Puerto de la Cruz, the Loro Parque Foundation, and the Canary Islands Government's Beautification Plan for the Canary Islands.
